We're fascinated with the gospel

When we say “gospel," we are referring to the message of God’s grace and generosity to mankind through the work of King Jesus on the cross and out of the grave. It is God destroying sin and death and reversing the curse on mankind. It’s also the power of God to give us heart transplants. Where we were born with cold, dead, and unresponsive hearts from Adam’s moral and total collapse - God brought us new hearts of flesh that take joy in reflecting His glory. Once we were scandalous rebels, but He makes us friends.

We believe this message to be not only for the spiritually dead but for the living as well. We preach it to each other, to the city, and yes, to ourselves. God’s Gospel defines who we are instead of our works and performance. The Gospel also defines community to be beyond a group of people who simply get along. It directs our mission to the city, drives our sermons, leads our counseling, compels our giving, and enchants our hearts. It is our song and we sing it with renewed and regenerated hearts.
