Paul addresses a struggle we all have, and that is why God chooses to rescue some...and not others. Do our decisions really matter? Is God fair? What is our response to the mystery of God's sovereignty and how should we land when reading passages like this?
Coram Deo simply means "face-to-face" with God. It's the posture we live where we are (1) in the presence of God, (2) under the authority of God, and (3) to the glory of God. Paul, in his letter to the greater church in metro Ephesus, helps us see not only the power of God's gospel to change us from the inside out, but also how that plays out in our lives as husbands, wives, employees, etc... Paul helps us see Coram Deo living as we are in Christ.
