We belong to each other

Community is how we “do church." It’s not just Sunday morning and it’s much more than a small group, it’s “life-on-life” in an intentional way. We believe community was God’s design and that His Gospel connects us together for our joy and for His glory. It’s very sloppy and can be inconvenient - and community done well means sacrifices have to be made by people who are very different from each other who might not always get along.

We do this because God, who is very different from us, made great sacrifices to be in community with us. In other words, community is “gospel driven.” We know there will be conflict, which is where most crawl out of the ring, but just as God reconciled enemies to Himself, we do the same with each other. Living in close quarters will provoke inconvenient fights that expose us, but living in community also brings joy, peace, and unity. This is how we have committed to build Legacy and there is no Plan B for us.
