How We Nurture Kiddos

Vision

The vision of Legacy Church is to create and sustain a community for children to grow in their understanding of the gospel of Jesus out of our deep-held belief that they are the future of not only our church but the Church.

We desire and will foster opportunities for them to come alongside us in the mission to share that gospel with our neighbors. Volunteers will work alongside each other, loving, serving and ministering to one another as they pursue this vision together.

What to Expect

We have great options for your kids no matter their age.

  • Nursery (6 weeks) - 2 years old.
  • 2-4 years old
  • 4-6 years old
  • 7-10 years old
  • Middle School Teens
  • High School Teens (before the service)

When you enter our gathering, you will be met by friendly faces who can direct you to the Legacy Kids check-in kiosk. Volunteers will assist you in registering your child, and you will receive a sticker tag with a unique code for both you and your child(ren).

Our volunteers can then show you where our classroom area is, which is where your child will be until you pick them up after the service. During class, we combine free play as well as an age appropriate Bible lesson using Truth78 curriculum. When worship begins at the end of the main service, you are invited to pick up your child so that you can worship together as a family. We ask that you present your sticker tag at the time of pick-up.

Policies

SafetyAll of our volunteers have completed an application and received background checks to ensure the safety of your child while they are in the Legacy Kids community. We have also developed specific safety plans for emergencies so that our volunteers can escort your child to a designated area until there is an all-clear signal from our security team and officer.

Food &  DrinkWe do not allow any food or drinks other than water in the Legacy Kids community.

Diapering & ToiletingYou will be notified if your child needs a diaper change or assistance in using the restroom. We provide one potty break during class for children in our 4-6 year class who are able to use the restrooms independently.

Illness PreventionEach week we sanitize toys and do our best to provide a clean environment for Legacy Kids classes. To assist us in keeping all children healthy, we ask that you refrain from bringing them to class if they have had any of the following within the last 24 hours:

  • Fever
  • Vomiting or Diarrhea
  • Cough or Difficulty Breathing
  • Cloudy or Green Nasal Discharge
  • Unexplained Rash
  • Communicable infections: Strep throat, Flu, RSV, Croup, Pink Eye, Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease, Lice, Scabies, Chicken Pox or Measles
